Jeff Hirayama
Hearing Instrument Practitioner
The most enjoyable and rewarding part of my job is getting to understand a person's life and helping them connect with friends and family, with the latest hearing aid technology. When I'm not training and learning about newer technology, I enjoy hanging with my family at the lakes in Manitoba and Ontario. I enjoy watching our boys play sports, cooking with my wife and spending time with friends.

Ava Laceda
I graduated with honours from the Hearing Instrument Specialist Program at George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario. After completing my program, I returned to Winnipeg to be closer to family and to support hearing healthcare in Manitoba. My education equipped me with in-depth knowledge of advanced digital hearing aid technology and audiological assessment skills, which I apply daily to improve patient outcomes. Being able to witness firsthand the positive impact on people’s lives is incredibly rewarding and reinforces my commitment to this field.

Why Choose Us
Family Owned & Operated
Creating this family owned and operated clinic gives us the opportunity to provide and promote the latest technology available, while creating personal connections with clients. The specialists begin the process by offering a free hearing test, followed by a consultation. There is no doctor referral necessary, and walk-in appointments are always welcome. Studies show that people aged 60+ should have their hearing tested annually.
Try Before You Buy Philosophy
For an individual with a hearing loss who is interested to see how much a hearing aid can improve their hearing ability and quality of life, our clinic offers a 75 day RISK FREE trial period. When clients purchase hearing aids, they also receive lifetime professional services, which include annual hearing tests, hearing aid evaluations, and adjustments as needed. Horizon Hearing Centre accepts WCB, Social Services, First Nations and DVA claims.
